Instructions for “Day One” at Raptors

 

The information below will hopefully aide you on the first day of registration

  

PLEASE NOTE -- Sportsworld is now known as Turf Time.  The Entrance Is In The Rear Of The Building So Please Enter Via The Small Access Road (1st Driveway) Just Before The Ice Skating Rink (Parking In The Rear).

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Note: The reason we have a "Day One Schedule" is it allows us to balance the remaining schedule. The remaining winter session schedule (all remaining games) will be posted by Dec 7th. The goal is to balance the schedule based on the strengths and weaknesses of a given team. We are not always right -- but we do our best to provide a good experience for all players (as best we can!!).  

1.  Please Check the Facility (Turf Time in Tewksbury), Division, Team, Game Time, & Field Location  

(i.e.; Turf Time, HS Boys Division, Peabody, at 9:00 AM on Turf 1).

PLEASE NOTE: Field1/Turf 1 ( Tewksbury) is the long turf (cleats are allowed); Field 2/Turf 2 ( Tewksbury) is the short turf (no cleats; only sneakers or turf shoes)

2.  If you are a free agent please check the free agent list at http://www.raptorslax.com/league-schedules/free-agents/  to see what team you have been assigned to. Please contact us at info@raptorslax.com as soon as possible if you do not see your name. 

3. Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your scheduled game and report to the registration area (at the front desk).  If you registered "On'Line" then you have nothing else to do other than check in at the front desk. If you plan to register that day please allow a bit more time to complete the paper registration and payment.

4.  If you already completed the on-line registration with payment in full then report to the registration area to confirm your information and receive a new jersey . 

5. For Paper Registrations (on Day One) - Please make sure you complete the whole application (forms will be available at the registration table). The registration form will not be accepted without Correct Medical Info, Signature (Waiver) and Payment in Full - No Exceptions! Payment on Saturday or Sunday can only be made by check, money order or cash – we do not accept credit card on site (only via the on-line registration). Once the form is reviewed and accepted you will receive your new jersey.  

6. Once you complete the registration process and receive your new jersey then report to the designated field with your team.  No need to check in each week (only the 1st time you are scheduled to play)

Frequently Asked Questions:   

Q. Do we have practice?

A. NO - just games on Saturdays

Q. When will we post the full season schedule?

A. Day One Schedule is now posted and the Remaining Full Schedule will be posted the following week (approx Dec 7th for remaining full schedule) 

Q. Are teams required to provide a coach?

A. YES, if not we will have an intern fill in for that week. The coach is a requirement so players receive equal playing time.  

Q. How do we determine if a team is HS D1 or D2?

A. Day One Schedules allow us to balance the remaining schedule. The goal is to balance the schedule based on the strengths and weaknesses of a given team. We are not always right -- but we do our best to provide a good experience for all players (as best we can!!).  

Q. How long are the games?

A. Forty-five Minutes with two 22 minute (running time) halves (with 2 minute half time). Please be on time because games will start on the scheduled time.

Q. Do we have referees?

A. YES, we provide two certified referees for each game.  

Q. Do we have an EMT available?

A. YES, we have a full time certified EMT during all the games  

Q. Will Stats be posted on line? 

A. NO - per the request from HS and Colleges Coaches we have eliminated posting stats. They want to see more team play rather than individual play. We will still post scores and standings.

Q. Do we receive a jersey/pinnie?

A. YES, the jersey is yours to keep and the number assign to you is logged in our database. We only allow one (1) jersey per lax year. The reason is so we can track players in any given season/session. Please make sure that you bring your jersey each week because you could be denied the opportunity to play.  

Q. Do I need to register or check in each week?

A. NO, once you register on “Day One” you do not need to check in each week. Just show up a few minutes early for your game each week and report to the designated field with your team.
